GT Open 2025: 500KM of Spa Recap

One of the biggest races of the International GT Open calendar—the 500KM of Spa—is one many look forward to. At over twice the length of a standard round, it gives the drivers an extra hour and 40 minutes to fight for the top spot in each class, leading to some great racing with plenty of overtakes. In true Belgian style, the air temp for day 1 was just 12°C, making it one of (if not the) coolest race of the season, favouring the turbo cars more. Despite this, Aaron and Steve claimed 2nd place, just ahead of another Mercedes AMG GT3 and one place behind Christian Hook & Felipe Fernandez in their Ferrari 296 GT3.Race day rolls around and the temperature is a tropical 11 degrees with potential for rain. Consistency was yet again the theme of this round, and after 72 laps, Aaron and Steve claimed their first win of the season—over 3 minutes ahead of second place

At this point in the championship, the pair have claimed a win, a podium and a solid 5th place finish, putting them high on the leaderboard for the next round in Germany.
