GT Open 2025: Hungaroring Recap

The fourth round of the 2025 GT Open Championship is here, and it's a dry, reasonably warm day at the Hungaroring, Hungary. In a competitive field, Aaron and Steve managed to claim 7th out of 13 during qualifying for day 1.

Race 1 later that day saw the pair climb a few places to finish 5th, just 20 seconds behind 1st place after an hour and 12 minutes. A very undramatic but reasonably good result that added yet more points to their overall.
Day 2 proved more successful for Aaron and Steve, claiming yet another 2nd place qualifying finish and shaving off 8 tenths of a second from their previous day's fastest lap—a hefty chunk and only 1 tenth off 1st place.
This small margin to 1st place proved even smaller in race 2, as the pair put in consistently fast laps, overtook 1st place and held it until the finish, claiming their third victory of the season. Thanks to this win and their previous consistent results, Aaron and Steve are now leading the PRO-AM championship with 56 points; 4 points ahead of second.
