The 5th round of the championship is hosted at the world famous Paul Ricard circuit in France. For the last 50 years or so, the track has hosted some of the biggest races in the world and is now a permanent feature on the GT roster. Qualifying brought typically wet yet warm conditions, resulting in Aaron and Steve achieving 3rd place, just behind another Mercedes AMG GT3.
Later that afternoon, Race 1 of the weekend didn't go to plan, with the pair getting caught in a collision that lead to a drop of 5 places. 8th place and a 10 second penalty was the final result of the day. Could be worse.
Day 2's qualifying ended similarly to day 1, with a 4th place seeding after 8 laps. Luckily, race 2 was less dramatic than the previous, and the two finished in 2nd after an hour of clean and consistent racing. Even with the previous day's 8th place finish, the pair were still leading the championship with a total of 65 points.
